Cookie Policy
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. We use as few as we can, and the non-essential ones only run if you say yes.
Strictly necessary - always on
These make the site work. They cannot be switched off, and they do not track you across sites.
| Cookie | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|
th_session | Keeps your form entries and login state within a visit | End of browser session |
th_consent | Remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask again | 180 days |
| CSRF token (in session) | Protects forms from cross-site request forgery | End of browser session |
Analytics - only with your consent
These help us see which pages help people and which confuse them. If you decline, we simply do not collect the data.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes one browser from another | 2 years |
_ga_<container> | Google Analytics 4 | Maintains session state | 2 years |
Advertising - only with your consent
These let us measure whether our ads on Google and Meta actually lead to sign-ups, and avoid showing you the same ad repeatedly.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
_gcl_au | Google Ads | Attributes a sign-up to the ad that led to it | 90 days |
IDE, test_cookie | DoubleClick (Google) | Ad measurement and frequency capping | Up to 13 months |
_fbp | Meta Pixel | Attributes a sign-up to a Meta ad | 90 days |
fbclid (URL parameter) | Meta | Identifies the ad click that brought you here | Stored with your enquiry only |
How consent works here
- Before you choose anything, Google Consent Mode v2 is set to denied for advertising and analytics storage, and the Meta Pixel's consent is revoked.
- Choosing "Reject non-essential" keeps them that way. You can use the whole site normally.
- Choosing "Accept all" or saving a custom choice updates consent immediately.
- We keep a dated record of your choice so we can demonstrate it was freely given.
- We ask again after 180 days, or sooner if we add a new type of cookie.
Controlling cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop forms from working. Browser help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge all describe how to do this under "cookies and site data".
